Aubrey Beardsley var den mest kontroversielle konstnären under jugendperioden, känd för sina mörka, perversa och groteska erotiska bilder som var hans teman under hans senare arbeten.
Beardsley was the most controversial artist of the Art Nouveau era, renowned for his dark and perverse images and grotesque erotica, which were the main themes of his later work.

Hon var vän och samarbetspartner med nobelpristagaren William Butler Yeats, poeten Ezra Pound, dramatikern Oscar Wilde, konstnäreren Aubrey Beardsley och Pamela Colman Smith, Arthur Edward Waite, teaterproducenten Annie Horniman, och många andra lärda i Londons Fin de siècle-kretsar och även med deras normer var hon "det bohemiska bohemiska".
She was a friend and collaborator of Nobel laureate William Butler Yeats, poet Ezra Pound, playwright Oscar Wilde, artists Aubrey Beardsley and Pamela Colman Smith, Masonic scholar Arthur Edward Waite, theatrical producer Annie Horniman, and many other literati of London's Fin de siècle era, and even by their standards she was "the bohemian's bohemian".
