During the course of November and December 2005, Seaport (NI) Ltd and Magherafelt District Council and others respectively commenced proceedings in the High Court of Justice in Northern Ireland (United Kingdom) on the ground that the environmental assessment relating to the draft plans in question had not been carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Directive.
