(क) रिकार्ड के अनुसार आज की तारीख तक भारतीय विदेश सेवा से जुड़े 67 अनुसूचित जाति, 44 अनुसूचित जनजाति तथा 87 अन्य पिछड़े वर्ग के अधिकारी विदेश स्थित विभिन्न दूतावासों / उच्चायोगों में तैनात हैं।
(a) As per records, 67 SC, 44 ST and 87 OBC officers belonging to the Indian Foreign Service are posted in various Embassies/High Commissions abroad as on date. (b) Indian Foreign Service Officers, including the officers belonging to the SC, ST and OBC are posted/transferred to various Indian Missions/Posts abroad on the recommendation of the Foreign Service Board based on availability of posts, suitability and seniority.(c) As on date the category wise break-up of IFS officers belonging to SC, ST and OBC working in the Ministry of External Affairs and Missions/Posts abroad is as follows:

(ख) एवं (ग) भारतीय उच्चायोग ने 19 जनवरी, 2016 को यह मामला पाकिस्तान सरकार के साथ औपचारिक रूप से उठाते हुए सूचित किया है कि भारतीय राजनयिक को यात्रा की अनुमति न दिए जाने के कारण भारतीय उच्चायोग पाकिस्तान सरकार द्वारा आयोजित सार्क संबंधी कार्यक्रम में भाग नहीं ले सका।
