That document, which is based on statistics, reports and contributions from widely‐respected international and Columbian associations, organisations and agencies, asserts that since the government of President Juan Manuel Santos came to power in Columbia, and despite the fact that there is now a more open public dialogue, respectful of and consonant with human rights, the real situation has not improved, there has been no reduction in the number of cases of human rights infringements and these continue to go unpunished.
