95 It thus follows from that rule, placed in the context of the interpretation of Article 94 of the Association Agreement, that a treaty is generally binding on a State in the ordinary meaning to be given to the term ‘territory’, combined with the possessive adjective ‘its’ preceding it, in respect of the geographical space over which that State exercises the fullness of the powers granted to sovereign entities by international law, to the exclusion of any other territory, such as a territory likely to be under the sole jurisdiction or the sole international responsibility of that State.
95 Así, se desprende de dicha norma, situada en la perspectiva de la interpretación del artículo 94 del Acuerdo de Asociación, que un tratado vincula, por regla general, a un Estado, siguiendo el sentido ordinario que ha de darse al término «territorio», combinado con el adjetivo posesivo «su» que le precede, respecto del espacio geográfico en el que dicho Estado ejerce la plenitud de sus competencias reconocidas a las entidades soberanas por el Derecho internacional, con exclusión de cualquier otro territorio, como un territorio que puede encontrarse bajo la única jurisdicción de un Estado o de cuyas relaciones internacionales es responsable sólo un dicho Estado.EurLex-2 EurLex-2
