On 18 November 2010, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which undertakings Sasol Synfuels International (Pty) Limited (‘SSI’, South-Africa), which belongs to Sasol Group (‘Sasol Group’, South-Africa), and Qatar Petroleum (‘QP’, The State of Qatar) acquire within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Merger Regulation joint control over Oryx GTL Limited (‘Oryx’, The State of Qatar).

Instructs its President to forward this resolution to the Council, the Commission, the Vice-President of the Commission/High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the governments and parliaments of the Member States, the Government and Parliament of the State of Qatar, the governments and parliaments of the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

12 The Cooperation Agreement between the European Economic Community, of the one part, and the countries parties to the Charter of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (the State of the United Arab Emirates, the State of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait), of the other part, approved on behalf of the Community by Council Decision 89/147/EEC of 20 February 1989 (OJ 1989 L 54, p. 1, hereinafter `the Cooperation Agreement') provides in Article 11:
12 Samarbetsavtalet mellan Europeiska ekonomiska gemenskapen å ena sidan och medlemsländerna i de arabiska gulfstaternas samarbetsråd (Förenade Arabemiraten, Bahrain, Saudiarabien, Oman, Quatar och Kuwait) å andra sidan godkändes i gemenskapernas namn genom rådets beslut av den 20 februari 1989 (EGT L 54, s. 1; nedan kallat samarbetsavtalet).
