Iedere lidstaat draagt zorg voor de oprichting of erkenning van een orgaan ("het voorlichtingscentrum") dat registers bijhoudt van de in die lidstaat gestalde motorrijtuigen, van de WA-verzekeraars die deze voertuigen dekken en van de schaderegelaars die de lidstaten ingevolge artikel 3 hebben aangewezen en waarvan zij de naam overeenkomstig lid 2 van dit artikel aan het centrum hebben meegedeeld, of dat de inzameling en de verspreiding van deze gegevens beheert; het voorlichtingscentrum moet de rechtzoekenden bijstaan bij het identificeren van de motorrijtuigverzekeraars welke voertuigen die in deze lidstaten zijn gestald, verzekeren, en van de hem ter kennis gebrachte schaderegelaars.
Each Member State shall establish or approve a body (hereinafter referred to as 'the information centre`) responsible for keeping a register of motor vehicles registered in the territory of that State, insurance undertakings providing civil liability coverage for such vehicles and the claims representatives appointed by such undertakings in accordance with Article 3 whose name shall be notified to the information centre in accordance with paragraph 2, or for coordinating the compilation and dissemination of that information; the information centre shall also be responsible for assisting victims in identifying the name of motor insurance undertakings providing coverage for vehicles registered in that Member State and of the claims representatives notified to it.EurLex-2 EurLex-2
