Does the Commission agree that the negative feelings which a majority of the inhabitants of the Baltic States rightly have about the long periods of Russian domination and repression ending in 1917 and beginning again in 1940 cannot justify any glorification of the raids and crimes of the Nazi armies, aimed at eradicating population groups, and that in particular the formulation ‘having loyally carried out their duty’ is an insult to millions of victims?not-set not-set
