“Sa pagdala ng nangalunyang babaeng ito kay Jesus, binibitag ng mga eskriba at mga Fariseo ang Panginoon: (1) Kung sumang-ayon siya sa batas ni Moises na dapat siyang batuhin, pareho niyang (a) gagalitin ang mga tao sa tila pagsuporta niya sa pagpaairal muli ng isang parusa na hindi na suportado ng maraming tao, at (b) kakalabanin ang umiiral na batas sa pagmumungkahing gawin ang ipinagbawal ng Roma.
